Welcome to the

Galloway Cultural Arts Center

   The Galloway Cultural Arts Center is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to enriching our community through arts education, cultural events and providing area artists with exhibit and networking opportunities.

    The Galloway Cultural Arts Center was founded in 1996, through a cooperative effort involving township council members, area artists and residents. We have become the community cultural arts center in Galloway Township.

    We strive to provide quality, affordable and accessible adult and children's arts education for the residents of Galloway and surrounding areas.

    Membership is open to all! We are supported by modest membership dues, entry fees and private and local business donations.

    Our exhibits take place at the Atlantic County Library, Galloway Branch, Jimmie Leeds Road, Galloway. The exhibit is open during normal library hours.

    We invite you to exhibit, drop off and register your work on the first day of the show between 10-12pm. Cost for members is $5.00 per piece and $10.00 per piece for non-members.

    Awards are 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons and are awarded in each category. There is also a $50 monetary prize which goes to all First Place winners.

Van Goghs Wednesday, 5:30-6:15pm $40 (4 weeks) (Beginners - grades k-3) Smithville Community Center All supplies included

Picassos - Wednesday, 6:15-7:00pm $40 (4 weeks) (Intermediate- grades 4-7) All supplies included

Portfolio Development - Wednesday, 7:00-7:45pm $40 (4 weeks) (Advanced- grades 8 and up) Supply list provided

All classes run for 4 consecutive weeks. Tuition for the next session is due the fourth week of the current session. All supplies are included with the exception of the Portfolio Development class; a supply list will be given during the first class.

Classes may skip weeks due to holidays and extreme weather; however, we will always have four classes per session. Safety is most important to me; so please notify me if you will not be the person picking up your child from class.

We will be more often than not working with messy art supplies, please make sure your child wears art class appropriate clothes or a smock. Parents are welcome to stay at the community center in the sitting rooms and read a book, bring a tablet or laptop (Wi-Fi is available) or watch TV during class.

No refunds, make ups or stand-ins. I will always do my best to help your child catch up on a project if they miss a week.

A portion of all proceeds are donated back to the GCAC and the Smithville Community Association to help support the arts in Galloway Township and Smithville community recreation programs.
